Hey Kevin good numbers . I read the C & D report on our cars and the base should be able to do it in 16.7 (I've got lots of work), The XRS they tested did it in 16.1 So your numbers are right on. Now that was without mods or anything. Remember these times are at sea level so take your track numbers and convert them and you have an idea of how close or far you are from the C & D times. Remember too that they don't push the car very hard when they do these tests so many of us have some work to do. Can't wait to practise ;D

Hey all, A little late on this, but better now than never I guess. It was good to meet everyone. I had fun for sure. Hopefully the celica people will meet with you all again sometime soon. I ran a best of 14.105 @ 95.66mph...I dont really like using corrected numbers but if I correct that it works out to 13.506 @ 99.97mph. heh. Chris

The corrected numbers make me feel better... but I'm still happy with my 16.205

Nice numbers Chris! Gotta love the AWD Turbo. Why Toyota won't do that now is beyond me. Imagine....either a Matrix XRS with AWD.....and a turbo? Damn......that would definetely be a sleeper of a car. And not that they could not do it.....the frame is made for the AWD system already.....just a matter of mating it to the 2ZZ.....or even putting in a blown 1ZZ. WOO HOO! That would be fun!

The Toyota Caldina, in Japan, has a 3SGTE in it. This is the Caldina GT-Four. Almost identical to a Matrix.
I'd much rather them put one in a celica (which they wont because they are killing the celica...but anyways), but thats just my slightly biased opinion! ;D

DJ you've got to see his car, nothing like pulling up to the light and I'm in the middle against the 300zx VInce has and GTfour on the other side...felt a little low on the power scale. Very sweet car to use a line from racedity that night " Don't want to race that". ;D

I'm ditching the spare tire next time for sure, and making sure I stay at 1/4 of a tank, was too scared I'd run out of fuel so I put ten bucks in and got half a tank...for next time I know better.

yes. and what about keely? is she gonna try her hand at racing too? You betcha. You should have seen my times in and around Doolin, Ireland in a Nissan Micra last week.... I tell you, if you enjoy driving, there's nothing like driving the roads in the UK (probably in many other areas of Europe too) - beautifully windy, narrow, good smooth pavement, gorgeous scenery... Next time (I go to England in Sept.) I'll drive a manual and have some real fun!
