It was a lotta fun! I was a little nervous at first, but after the first run, you're hooked. I think my best time was 17.263 sec for the 1/4 mile.
I was looking at my gas guage afterwards -- it looks like I burned almost a 1/4 tank for a total of 1 mile (4 runs) of hard driving!
I think everyone had a great time. Thanks for coming by the house! Anytime! ;D

Yeah, I can't wait to do it again, and get this all figured out. My best time was a 17.829, but my reaction time was just over a second...oops! hahaha. So I think Ivan beat me by a little bit...but I thought it was good for a first time out and having only driven a stick for 3 months now

I was stuck in the 17.7's I'm not sure why my car was 1.5 seconds slower than it usually is... I had never raced on those rims before and the last time I raced (2 years ago) I didn't have the CEL. I was sad about my times but oh well... my celica just wasn't up to racing last night.

I can not wait to go either. The XRS/GT is supposed to run 15.6 or so......I am just curious as to where mine is. I am sure that if I got a good launch....I would hit low 16's. But I am just going to have to wait and see.

You should Hope, it's way too much fun! It was really cool having all us Vibe's together out there too! Attracted attention for sure! Not always good attention mind you...the odd hecklers...lol
But I noticed that most of those were specators, and not racing....money where you mouth is punk! ;D

Yep, and I think Jackie and I were the only women out racing too. The staff were ever so helpful to us

I have to improve on my driving technique (not hit the rev limiter for one ;D ). I gotta keep the revs up between shifts to stay in lift. Stampede Vibe (Kevin) ran a stock GT (w/o a spare) and was consistently in the 16.8 sec. range, but he managed to keep in lift all the way up to 3rd which was by the finish line.

And he only ran 16.8 keeping it in lift? Something does not make sense there. If Jackie can hit high to mid 15's with a GT with the 1zz......the 2zz should easily do the same.
