It shouldn't attach to the TB anymore... that's why it's capped off... can you snap a picture of the same spot that I have in those pictures? Sure, I'll try....

I think you are looking at the VSV valve which is located a little lower than the EVAP valve. I think it's better that we physically compare engine bays otherwise we're all gonna be confused. "Gonna be confused" implies that I'm not already. ;D

Sure, I'll try.... It is hard to see yours Keely compared to Jackie's because we have a different throttle body on the 2ZZ then the 1ZZ. The point that she is looking for is farther back on the throttle body and a PAIN IN THE BUTT to put that cap on......that is why I left the hose on and put a golf tee in it instead. If you do not get things resolved before the meet in Sept.....then I will look at it then ok?

Well, it returned on the 3rd drive cycle after being reset by the dealer, so I'd love some help with it at the meet for sure.
And no, I'm not back yet, I just have a few minutes online at a Holiday in in Brookline, MA to kill before I crash to bed in exhaustion!

I'm gonna throw a wrench into things... after I lost the cap somewhere in the engine bay, I used the tubing and golf tee method. With my CEL prob, someone on genvibe directed me to a matrixowners.com link. Long story short, I have my one-way check valve going into the throttle body, VSV valve capped off and bolted down, and the other valve gizmo zip tied and floating behind the CAI. Jeez, I wish I had a digital camera to show you...

Again? Jeez, that think just won't go away. Maybe Keely will have to do what Hope did and buy the unichip to get the CEL to go away.

That is just odd. Keely......you and I have the same year of car......and I have the Injen intake and do not have a problem at all. No CEL for me. Just does not make sense.

It's not like Hope's problem, or most other people's, because the code is not "running lean". Check the beginning of the thread when I copied the code sheet from my dealer word for word. A unichip is not the answer, because I don't need to change the tuning - I need to find out what's blocking the flow into the emission valve.
Fortunately, JC has a friend that is an expert in our engines, so hopefully he'll be able to tell exactly what is causing this error.
I'm happy with the exhaust, but I can't say I'm itching to do any more engine mods now. This is a lot of headache.
