Well after researching all this Turbo stuff I've decided to go custom supercharger. Like the idea that they are simply bolt on, and can get it done locally. I'm going for a bigger one than the factory type. I'm going to start pricing it out and working it into my mod budget so it's done by spring..and then watch out.

That is going to cost some mucho $$$$ Ivan. Just have to make sure that the internals can handle the added boost. I believe that the TRD S/C only puts out about 12 to 14psi.
Why would you want to go higher and risk killing the engine?

Hmmm the words custom supercharger sound scary to me.... If you really want to go FI go talk to Reg at RCTS he KNOWS toyota engines like the back of his hand... and I would trust his opinion on modding your vibe. Don't settle for any less. He is certified to work on Toyota engines and every year he goes to away for a month to work on Toyota's F1 cars.

If anything I'd ask Reg for a custom turbo.

Plus the sound of a turbo blow-off valve is cool.

It's WAY cool. I know a few of us have seen that blue SRT-4 that's in our neck of the woods...he was at the recycling bins the other day when I was. Love that sound when he drove past me to leave ;D

The VIbes are designed for SC's The TRD and GM ones only put out 8psi of boost, Besides the Power curve on the SC's comes on right away right through to redline, no waiting to spool up. Besides if I wantthe cool sound from the BOV I can stick my head out the window and do it. ANother factor is there is more room at the front of the engine bay than at the back. Anyways this Reg guy sounds really good I'll check it out next time I'm in that area or fire off an e-mail to see what he can do with the 1ZZ. Keep ya posted.

I remember these guys from RCTS -- there was also a write-up in Car & Driver on a IS300 which competed in the One Lap. From what I remember, C&D was giving this company high praise for the work they did on this Lexus.
