ya, that dodge caliber is quite impressive. however, i don't think i'd still buy one.... waiting to see how the SRT's hold up. ya, i told phil.... 18 months should be enough time for the house and his STI. besides we gotta get our own place with a big garage to house both the cars! plus...... then shortly afterwards, since the 07 spec B legacy's will come with a 6MT, hopefully the STI tuned engines, then i'll be looking to do an engine swap for sure! (and hopefully both the LGT and vibe will be paid off by then.

I will! I am not sure if I would go with the SRT-4. They come with 19's, but with 3 season tires, which are useless as far as I am concerned. I am really looking at the R/T with the AWD. I am just not sure what the horsepower will be. I have heard somewhere around 180hp. And the same engine as the SRT-4, just not with all the goodies. But that does not mean it can not be added on to that engine though.

well just be careful as some of the AWD 1zz owners have found out. that s/c may not work too well on the awd system. i'd rather go with a proven awd for tuners engine imo. however, the caliber is quite impressive by any means. had the VGT been 180 hp awd, i'd probably have not gotten rid of it.

We ALL wish that the AWD drive version of the Vibe/Matrix was 180hp!! I sure would have gotten one then.

ya, the vibe info that came out before the car actually did, made it sound like the awd version was 180 hp. that's why i wanted the car. then i found out it wasn't so was greatly disappointed. still the caliber awd vers is 180 hp? same size and weight as the trix/vibe i believe..... nice. i admit that i miss the convenience of all the space and roomy cargo in my vibe. i don't have near as much in the LGT. and i don't care for the wagon style to get it.

And like I said earlier, the Caliber AWD will have the same size enging as the SRT-4, so that means the add-ons will be really easy.

i'm assuming $30K cdn right? that's not too bad considering it's about the same price as a WRX. still.... i'd take the WRX for that price over the caliber. plus, the new WRX's have the 2.5L engine.
