Tell him to stop wasting money on his base viber ;D. No point adding all those things and yet a vibe gt still smoke him good . Ah the old discussion, the base won"t lose that bad to a GT. Quick reaction time can put the ALMIGHTY GT or XRS in its place.

Hmmm...........true. AND if you have a S/C (which I am still waiting to hear if you have it or not!), the base will definetely beat an XRS or GT.

ya, that low end torque really kills the 2zz. i still would have like to race a s/c base vs my old chipped 2zz for grins and giggles, especially to see the difference on low end, get off the line...

Well definetely off the line the 1ZZ s/c would beat the GT/XRS, even it it was chipped. But at the top end, where it counts a lot, it would be a tough match. I do know of a MO.com member, Larry I believe, who has a base with the S/C and he has vids of him pulling on an XRS. Numerous times. So I know it can be done.

oh yes. i've seen it. i am wondering how well a s/c vibe vs a chipped 2zz would do, from start to finish.... a stock 2zz would be killed for sure!

Oh yes! Very easily. I just wish that the 2ZZ was as easily S/Ced as the 1ZZ. Maybe that is why Toyota is taking that engine off the market. They are taking it away from the Matrix and Corolla, and Pontiac is taking it out of the Vibe. They are replacing it with the same engine that is in the Scion TC. Much better engine, and more mods can be added to it like a S/C, turbo, etc.

Quick reaction time can put the ALMIGHTY GT or XRS in its place. The best time I've seen for an xr or base with s/c was 15.2 or 15.3 while an xrs with just I/E/Chip did 15.1 so unless the base/xr is turbo, there's no chance ;D . If you have friend in London area, I'll gladly prove it to you .

I was talking about a base XRS vs. a boosted XR. It is a shame that the XRS does not have as many engine mods as an XR or base.
