ya, well the screen will look pretty good for now but then when i went to make sure all connections work for the PC power, i broke the wired connections while man handling them together. so as i went to solder them back, i then proceeded to BREAK the little metal tab to one of the connectors! so one of the guys at work ran over to the electronics parts store and got me a new one, just haven't had the time to go and have him help me solder it back. once i do that, it should be somewhat simple to atleast mount the LCD in place so the dash isn't torn apart.

alright, after much hassle, work, money, and blowing fuses, it seems to be installed, running and working! i even tested it today at wal-mart to see if the PC remained booted while turning the ignition over. it didn't restart like it always had before. this is good news! i'll keep playing around with it to make sure it's all working properly, however, the electrical mess.... well i know it won't be covered under warranty by any means! lol here's some pics working on the wiring and LCD screen. That probably was the biggest problem for sure. picpicpicinstalled and running picipod cradle mounted on top. still have to do something with those wires. piclights on the bottom of the screen and the power button turn the PC on or off, green light indicates it's on and orange shows data is processing picmini trackball mouse via USB. easier to deal with than the previous gyration mouse (motion sensored) and waving it in the air as people look at you like a crazy person piccenter console holds a 100 watt inverter with USB power, USB port that also powers the secondary USB hub in the glove compartment, and the remotes to the DVD player and LCD screen are velcro'd to the inner lid of the console picglove compartment holds the AV selector for the Ipod, PC, and DVD, and up to 2 more items picpicthe PC mounted to the center pass through to the trunk pic

well who knows what i did, but i rewired the power to the pc and it's all working. i've added an inline 5A fuse but couldn't figure out the voltage regulator. i think i got the wrong thing. so i'll have to bug some of the car pc gurus over on gvc and legacygt forums. i've added an inline noise filter and so far the sound is working (and sounding) crystal clear. i have the access port downloading the mapping right now as i type. going stage 1 for now until i can do the downpipe. still better than stock! lol.

Glad to see that it is working though! Might have just been a loose wire or something.

ya who knows. now my keyboard won't detect. it's the wireless one. i think i may install a wired mini thumb keyboard like they use for the PS2. that may be better just to get it up and running. it's waiting for me to hit a key so it will reboot properly...

I find that the wireless stuff, as soon as the batteries get a little weak you loose signal.
