My z-rated were horrible even when the ground was just frozen... no traction at all... thank god for my worn out blizzacks ;D

well mine had no traction at all the last month or so since it's gotten cold out. they would spin for a second before catching... but the roads are pure ice! even with studs i just spun my tires! next vehicle, will be a FAST awd suv most likely (subie, saab, or toyota)

I could be wrong on this, but I thought the Bridgestone RE092 were H-rated all-seasons and not Z-rated. My car didn't come with the Dunlops. Fair enough, you'd certainly know better than I would what your lovely vehicle is contacting the road with. My point remains the same though - if you're not using all-seasons that are good on the snow, I believe snow tires are a no-brainer.

I let CMP do everything that is scheduled for my baby, however I specifically ask them not to wash the car. Why you ask? Well 1: if they are using an old brush type wash my paint will get scratched. 2: If for some reason they take it to a wash with undercariage wash our CAI will suck that in..get the drift. Only wand wash or the SHELL on country hills wash because that wash pulls you through, is touchless and I can turn off the car.

I have used the rocker panel wash before and never had a problem... but I don't use the drive thru washes anymore because most of them have tracks that you need to drive on and my car is too low.

Jeez, I never thought of the undercarriage wash and the CAI. I've never had a problem and the CAI is tucked pretty safely inside the fender. I always use the wand sprayers and I'll occasionally use the foam brush, but that is also the source of the scratches on the hood.
