Where : Bowness Park Calgary, Alberta
When : Saturday August 12, 2006
Time : 11am ish.
What I am thinking is we should have an afternoon BBQ there. Whomever wants to go, put your name down and what you can/want to bring.
It will be a potluck type dinner. Everyone can bring something different. Variety is always a good thing.
At the park there are BBQ pits...we just need to bring wood.
What we do after the BBQ we can figure out on here. We will definetely go for a cruise....just not sure where yet. Definetely someplace to get some nice pics.
CHANGES :
As for the cruise after, we can cruise to Crescent Road which is just on the north side of the Bow River. You can get some really nice pictures up there with the city in the background. After we can head up Center Avenue and head to the old Brick location along 16th Ave. They have an empty parking lot that we can take some pics of all of our cars.
I WILL HAVE MAPS FOR EVERYONE SO THAT IF SOMEONE GETS SEPERATED BY THE LIGHTS, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO FIND THERE WAY.
Originally I said we can go to Canmore for the cruise, but my plans have changed and I would not be able to go for that long. So somewhere in the city is better for me.
Well start putting your name down and what you will bring! And remember, you have to bring enough for everyone else there. smile.gif Also, make sure to state how many people are coming with you!!
1.DJ Double LP - BBQ (1 person)
2.MatrixDad - Canned pop in a cooler (1 person...so far)
3.Anomatirx - Assorted chips and snacks (1 person+1 more possible)
4.FaisalcorollaS - Dessert (1 person + 1 more possible)
5.monkeyracing - still deciding (1 person.....so far)
6. Jaloos - Hot dogs and buns (2 people)
DIRECTIONS :
Take 16th Ave W all the way to C.O.P.
Turn right onto Bowfort Road NW.
Turn left at the first 4-way stop. You should turn onto Bowness Road NW.
Turn left at the next 4-way stop.
Bowness Park will be on your right side. Look for the sign.
Follow the road into the park. It should take you to the left a bit.
WATCH THE SPEEDBUMPS. Lowered cars are not going to like them.
I will be trying to get the picnic area right near the front so as to limit how many speed bumps we have to go over.
If you are coming from the south of Calgary. It would probably be a lot easier to take Glenmore Trail until it turns into Sarcee Trail and follow it all the way to 16th Ave and then head west. That way you avoid the 16th Ave construction.

I wish that I could rip down there, but every weekend from now until mid October is booked with something.
