Yikes. That's scary. He must not have had a stock car...or maybe he abused it badly? Or was just unlucky. Only peeps around here I've heard have problems with their stock clutches are the ones pushing over 400whp

the guy had a stock srt4. and looks like others had some of the same issues... but if you read what he did... you can see why he killed it!

He was just doing a burnout though wasn't he? I dunno. I've only read how to do them, I never do them. DJ is a burnout expert, he could shed some light on it for us. Seems like so many cars have clutch problems

lol. well, it sounds like he was toasting his clutch while ATTEMPTING to do a burnout. Which is pretty much why I don't attempt them ;D

Rookies ;D.
Was it under warranty?

HA! Warranty would not cover that I am sure. A little abuse if you ask me. But this sounds somewhat like the crappy clutches in the Matrix XRS/Vibe GT issue showing up. There is more then one person that has the same problems as me and with the clutch going at very low miles. And Toyota/Pontiac is not doing anything about it except saying it is abuse and that they are not going to cover it under warranty.
I guarantee that Dodge will do the same and say that it is not there fault and that the customer should not be doing "burnouts" with the car to begin with and that the warranty states that any abuse will not be covered. Those guys are screwed....whether they file a lawsuit or not.

well, from what i was reading, the clutches on them suck. but still, doing a burn out like that? NOT WARRANTY! any one in the warranty or service department would laugh at anyone trying to argue otherwise.
