Hey guys, Gonna order some motor mounts from ptuning.com for 30US - 5% + 15US shipping... If anyone else wants some we can split shipping. (I know its only $10 but I'm a starving student and thats like a whole day worth of meals ) DJ, you interested?? Oh, and Blake, bout the vibrations, I had a torque brace in my trix for a year or 2 and I actually liked the vibrations. Since that was a metal brace attached straight to the motor, it carried ALL the vibrations (prob much more than the mounts will as they are urethane) and it makes the car feel kinda like a muscle car under torquey acceleration. Cheers all!

Hey man, hold off on those mounts just yet, I have two sets of them at home, as Dad was gonna put some in his Vibe too, but he never got around to it, let me ask him if he still wants em, if not, I'll sell em to ya!

Let me know how they work, I hear the rear one is a bugger to get at and change. Ps what are the benefits?

The benefits of the new mounts is that they are a lot stiffer then stock so your engine does not move around as much on acceleration, therefore more power is transferred to the what is moving....your wheels.....instead of moving the engine around.

Yeah CC, If you pop your hood with the engine running and find your throttle body and push it, the engine wil rev and you'll see it move a lot too. The mounts (and torque braces) hold the engine firmer and the energy that is lost due to the engine moving is put to the wheels. Also, wheel hop is eliminated because the engine is not as free to move. Shifting also improves because every time you shift the engine jumps, and with it goes the tranny therefore slightly misaligning the shifter cables. The mounts help to hold the engine in place and therefore shifts are much crisper!!!
Cheers, Matt
