well, that is why you upgrade parts. however, it does suck that the clutch doesn't last too long.

Now now.......you know that I am not burning them out! It is just crappy Toyota parts. And the thing is thought that Toyota won't acknowledge the problem. But they are getting rid of the 2ZZ-GE and the 6-speed in the Matrix for the redesign coming up for next year. |

ya, they are only keeping the base engine i believe. how lame is that??  taking all the fun out of the car. besides, the new 2zz's only have like 164 hp, so why even bother? |

Actually they are putting the Scion tc engine into the Matrix now. So about 170hp, and 170lb/ft tourqe!!! WOOHOO!!!! Finally got some bottom end. They are also rumoured to have an AWD with a 5-speed MANUAL. About time!!! So all the mods for the tc will be able to go onto the Matrix engine. MUCH better. I am just curious as to what it will look like. |

the scion is rated at 160 hp/ 163 tq. sill, much better than the crappy base #'s. they're finally being more competitive!

Sorry.......I was just guessing on the #'s. It is about time that Toyota is taking an engine and putting it in more cars for the mod end of it to draw in the younger buyers. IF the styling is nice, it might tempt me into buying one. AS LONG AS THE CLUTCH IS GOOD. I will have to find a Scion forum and check it out.
