Alternaive to Unichip?

but is that plug and play like the unichip? or is it like the jet chip where you have to send the whole ECU in to be programmed.

I'm pretty sure it's plug and play but you still need somebody to tune it for you.

oh ok. so you'd have to have a tuner shop that could program it for you. oh well.... i still like my unichip.

Well they don't have to be a tuner shop... just somebody with a laptop that is willing to drive around with you to tune it. Or you could pay for track time. I know a guy who does it and does it very well. Total computer geek but he has tuned many many cars.

don't get the GREDDY E-manage... it's absolute garbage, it's nothing like a true standalone from my experience, not worth the money. you should see if you can get the AEM EMS for toyotas, i'm not 100% sure if it's available, but the EMS is a much better system if you're looking to tune the car.

The Vibes don't use a Toyota EMS we have a GM one, so the AEM one won't work for us Viber's.
