well my current project is now gutting out an uppipe from an wrx. apparently it's the same as on my LGT. there are a total of 3 cats on my car! 3!!!  so we are gutting the uppipe and then will install it at the dealership most likely since phil works there. Jerry, one of the mechanics said he would do it for me, and take my factory one in it's place.  suppose to help with the low end lag and give me a little more HP. whee! |

Like you need more hp  . Are you serious there are 3 of them? how many o2 sensors are there? |

yep, 3 cats and only 1 02 sensor that i know about. i keep learning more and more about this car. it uses a lot of wrx and sti parts since it's the same engine as the sti. so a lot of the tuners know it's more like a nice sleeper car because it can be tuned up to more than 400 hp without too much $$$. of course anything over $1000 to me is $$$, so i suppose it depends on the individual. lol. i think if i had the money, i could sink in about $3K and get it close to 400 hp with full TBE, uppipe, chip, FMIC, upgraded turbo, etc.

well the gutting of the uppipe is proving to be quite daunting. what a pain in the ass! i'm almost done, but have to scrape out the last remainder parts and then polish it up with a wire brush drill bit. don't want anything flying into my turbo and destroying it. that will NOT be covered under warranty!
should finish it tomorrow and hope to have it installed this week sometime.

OMG! finally finished the damn uppipe! now to get it installed hopefully this week.

got the uppipe installed and wow what a difference! not only is it much smoother 1-2 gearing, but it's much faster at the low end! it rocks!!! |
