Phil ran a great run!
I remove the spare tire, the jack, that tray and anything I got in the back seat and just run that way.
Well new record for me in the base Vibe with only a CAI and catback exhaust...

Nice time for the Subaru . 16.8 is slow as the guys would run between 16.1-16.2 with the base or xr . How was the traction?

16.1-16.2 in their BASE trix or xr 5 spd?? what kinda mods are they running? more than an exhaust and CAI?? cause that's with phil getting on the clutch a little more. it's also faster than the S/C Auto's too! which to me doesn't say much about spending the money $$ so you can get to a slightly modded 5 spd vibe!

Great times Hope! I still haven't been out to the track...hopefully sometime this year I think I remember when we all went to the track...one guy ran about mid 16's with his totally stock base Vibe 5 spd. He was just a better driver than the rest of us I guess. I dunno.

ya, that's with phil launching about 2500 rpms. not even launching hard or anything...

16.1 with a base Vibe?? Yeah....not happening. Not unless you are getting pushed by a GT or XRS.

or they have a lot of mods on their base. i think Phil could get mid 16's if he'd launch harder or if he had a heavier duty clutch.

Tell Phil to launch his car because 2500rpm is nothing! dump the clutch and launch it like a man ;D. Mike, she said mid 16's ; it's possible with a good driver. Did he gutted out the interior? stock tires?

we just installed it fri night. so we drove it maybe 2 or 3 times since. it was throwing a CEL but has now gone away after the 3rd drive cycle. you can tell a difference in the low end tq and power, it's much more smoother acceleration and not so jerky on the shifts. a lot better for the passenger (me) and my neck isn't getting as much whiplash! LOL.
we'll see how it really goes once we get back to the track. i want to know how much of a difference it really makes.
