Finally got the mounts and after a few hours and several choice words for the rear mount I finally got them installed. To say the least I couldn't go for the vibration at idle esp when the fan or ac kicks in. It was incredible. This may be worse as my mounts are relatively new and still stiff to begin with. Needless to say after the fight with the rear that one was going to stay for sure so I pulled out the front and it smoothed out the vibration nice and still stiffened up the motor to some extent. i figure when it frees up from wear I can add the fronts. P.S. had a helper most of the time too

I have heard that about the motor mounts as well. That is a big reason why I do not have them on my car. They are supposed to help eliminate wheel hop though which is a good thing when doing the 1/4 mile.

Do you get wheel hop in your car DJ? I'm asking because I never did in the base Vibe, but I wasn't sure about the GT.

Yeah I do get some, but only if you rev it fairly high (5000 RPM +). Other then that I do not get any.

Now I am getting told that running only the rears is not a good thing so I guess I either pull them both or put both back. Wish they would elaborate on exactly why though.
Hey noone said anything about my helper the High Flow Fat Cat LOL

Phil gets bad wheel hop in his base vibe when he launches at high rpm. i had terrible wheel hop in my GT. don't miss that one bit!

I think your tires will make a big difference too. The stock tires on my car aren't horrible, but they aren't great either

The reason that only one E.S.M. is no good is because now the engine will move unevenly and that could cause trouble down the road for you.

If a guy could keep rpm's over 900 it would be just fine.

Well the only time your drop below 900rpm's is at idle....which should be around 800rpm.

Put the fronts back in. I think runnin without for a week softened them up enough to make it a lot less of rattler.
