Is anyone running a performance header on their car? What sort of gains could be expected? Any idea what a shop would charge for the install?

I know there are some on matrixowners.com that are running them and they are getting up to 10hp increases.
They are not that hard to install, but have to be done from underneath the car when it is on a lift.

The base Vibe is a great car but anything that can help the 1ZZE out is a bonus. Ideally it would be nice if it came around 150-160 hp stock. Thanks for the offer on the Unichip but I'll pass for now. What are you asking for it though? Would it still work on a base vibe? Didn't you have an XRS?

It will work on any Vibe/Matrix that is not DBW (Drive By Wire). All that you would have to do is get it re-flashed by a Unichip dealer to whatever your car has in it. The cost is around $25 to have that done. I am looking for $400 USD + shipping. It is a PNP (Plug 'n Play) unit which will take you all of a 1/2 hour to an hour to put in. You will notice the difference right away. I bought it from Brad at www.neverenoughauto.com . Brad is retailing them for $515 USD (close to that anyways) + shipping. It is up to you bro. If you do not want it, if you know of anyone who would send them my way!

Mine is DBW. So it wouldn't work.

Ahhh ok. Well you can put it in, it just would not be a PNP. I believe Boomslang has a harness for the DBW cars. Or you can hardwire it in, just not sure how it is done.
