Yup....you read correctly. I am going to be selling my car. I am selling it because it is time for something new. For Sale: 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS 6-speed Manual Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Mirrors Asking Price : $12,000 CDN O.B.O. List of mods: www.clubvmx.proboards29.com/index.cgi?board=Rides&action=display&thread=1090513698I will be selling it with the stock stereo. So just ignore the aftermarket stereo equipment above in the link. I would much prefer to sell locally, but if it is anywhere in Alberta that is fine as well. If you know of anyone looking for a good car, drop me a PM and I will give you my contact information.

Wow, are you really selling it this time? Got it listed in the autotrader too? Pretty dead on here lately

I do not have it in Autotrader yet. I am heading to the dealership Saturday and I will see what they are going to give me for the car. That will be the deciding factor in all of this.

Well Honda offered me $10,500 for my car a couple of months ago. But I decided I did not want a Honda.
As long as I get what I owe or a little more....then I will be just fine with that.

What are you looking at getting?
Doing a trade in is probably the quickest and easiest way to go. There's lots of Matrixes for sale in the auto trader, so it might not go so quick that way.

Well I owe just under $8000 on the car. So anything over that is good for me. I know that I would not get a high number because of the mileage on the car (150,000+km), but I am prepared for that.
That is why with my privately selling it I am asking $12,000obo for it because of the mileage. If I were to ask say $15,000 or more, a lot of people would not even look at it because of the mileage.

Well...I went to the dealership over the weekend, crunched numbers, and it was not bad. HOWEVER, I would have to wait over 4 months to get my new car. So I am just going to keep the Matrix and wait until I have paid it off (just over a year left) and then sell it and buy a new car. Hopefully by then VW will have stock on the GTI's.
