Ever notice that they barely ever do any performance mods? What's the point of having all that work done to a car on the outside but having the engine run like crap? Most of these people can't afford to fix up their cars (which is why they are on the show) so what are they going to do when they need to drop a new engine into it?

Is this a TV show? Hey, I don't have cable. I caught part of a show on Speed Channel called Tuner Transformation. They did an awesome job on a white IS300 with 19" wheels, bumper/side skirts, and a Turbonetics(?) Stage 1 turbo  . Last week they converted a Toyota Paseo to a rear-drive drifter using an old 4-Runner engine and drivetrain. |

Tuner Transformation is nice, but they also do poor as work as well. Now you want a good show, watch OverHaulin, I have never been disappointed with their work. They pretty much steal the guy's car, tell his spouse to lie to him pretending she doesn't know a thing while they invest a good $10000 in the vehicle. In the end, you get a guy who is in disbelief. They don't work on imports or anything, they mainly work on OLD rusted up pieces of shit. Like 69 Mustangs, ya know, the old muscle cars. They do all repairs (rust, etc.), interior work (full leather, new trims, etc), repaint the outside (like metallic flakes, two-tone, etc), audio (screens, subs, you name it) and best part, they do some incredible engine work. They'll drop in a whole new engine that'll push cars up to 300HP and all that. Amazing work, worth an hour of your time if ya got it ;D

I love that show!!! It is awesome to see the work that these guys do. Chip Foose is the best....period.

I saw overhaulin' for the first time the other night (now that I have digital cable...) it was pretty good! Much better than pimp my ride.

For Pimp My Ride, as for WestCoast Customs goes, I think it's all over rated. They're good, there's no doubt about it, but it's just over rated I think.

Haha, yeah it's good alright, just need more episodes. It's on TLC, CH.24 if ya got Shaw...I don't know the time it airs though I just always catch it by surprise. Anyone know? |

Seems to me like west cost customs is about the rice... but on overhaulin they were doing all the work at APC and I'm not a big fan of their stuff. |

They do there work wherever the person lives (the owner of the car). And they take local talents to help out I believe. Every show, different faces besides the 2 hosts and Chip Foose. As you watch more, you'll see a lot that you'll like. |

Overhauling is the best.... Complete rebuilt, custom engine and everything.. Not just a fancy paint job like pimp my ride...

PMR is for the MTV kids - they don't what performance mods are, so what's the point of showing whether they do any of them or not? It's a ricer generation, folks - bad taste in spades.

Would be sweat if overhaulin' would come and steal my vibe for a week... I would be freaking out. Then get it back with some Foose wheels, a turbo, a custom paint job with like 8 coats of clear, decked out with performance modifications.... Yes, in my little dream world.
