So, reading JC's thread got me to looking. Given that most of you have seen my grille etc., what do you all think about this? I'm also thinking about gunmetal. If someone has seen something along the lines of the above wheels but in a gunmetal finish, I'm all eyes.

I'm not too crazy about them... Maybe it's the colour... You'll want to keep a few things in mind when choosing rims... Weight, Size (the bigger the rim the more expensive the rubber) and quality.

Eh, I agree, besides they look heavy, my Abyss GT has Falken Torque 5's, I like em, popular choices also include many mille miglia styles, as well as O.Z. superlegarra's, expensive tho.

Going for the "bling, bling" are ya Keely? See....everyone just wants to be like the DJ. LOL I am not to fond of those rims though.....not enough space between the spokes.....just my opinion though. But if you like them....then go for it! Chrome looks nice....but is always heavier. One rim/tire on my car weighs close to 50lbs....that is A LOT of weight.

ya, sorry. not a big fan of those. very bling bling and too much rim. but if you like them, that's all that really matters.

the third one, gunmetal w/ chrome lip, is just too overdone, imo. phil has a set of icons just like those and he ended up getting the exact same ones as his friend! i'd go w/ the chrome, but smaller spokes so it doesn't look so bling bling. because it does match your front grill very well. and you'll be putting the exhaust on and i think it has a polished tip.

Out of the three that DJ posted, I like the first only. The "spokey" look doesn't appeal to me and I don't think jives with the grille. I was looking for something with a more circular feel rather than the harsh slashes of multiple spokes.
Keep 'em coming, I'm not making this purchase until the spring but I like to plan ahead (esp. when it's this much $$!).

Next question is then....do you want to have some dish on your rims? What dish is is the lip that you see on the outer edge.....such as on the 3rd rim.....the chrome lip. Do you want that or do you want the spokes to be flush with the outside like in the first picture?

I'm not too crazy for that style and weight would be my concern, too. I think Centerline makes something similar to what you like and they might be somewhat lighter. I've been looking for wheels for a while and I keep going back and forth between Enkei RS5's or Motegi MR7's. Group buy?

I'm all for a good deal, so if the group buy would apply to different models of wheels, I'm interested. Is Centerline a local company? Do you have a URL?
