I have been on other forums and I get the impression that if you improve the appearance of your car and not the performance that you are rice and rice is bad. I currently own a 06 Matrix base. I bought the base because I planned on doing a body kit right from the start so why pay more for the body parts to begin with. I also have the full warranty on the drive train etc so I am not keen on modding that up just yet I would like to wear out some of the stuff I plan to replace first and at the very least I want to not void the warranty. So I am doing minor performance mods and all cosmetics now. this way I can spend the money to make it look good now and pay the money later to make it perform. Does this make me a ricer? I would normally post pics on the forums but I have not even bothered to take any as I really don't feel like getting flamed out LOL.
So you tell me the fact that I am hopping up the irreverence and not the performance first make me rice?

lol. well, imo, rice is more of unpainted or unmatched body kits, no performance whatsoever but the stickers claiming you do (i also consider this false advertisement), various colored body panels, an extremely LARGE bumble bee exhaust, etc... lol. a nice clean looking body kit is in no way rice imo. unless you don't paint it and put it on that way.  |

Yeah......like Hope said. Rice is those ugly ass cars that have no matched paint on the body kits.....especially if there are left with the primer on them. A HUGE exhaust that sounds like a lawnmower on steroids.
Keep it clean, no damn stickers on the doors and stuff, and you will be far from rice!
