But of course! I am sure that you will come up with something, or whomever is doing the install will.

Yeah no doubt. I hate that too when you get a nice mod, but it does not work the way you want it too. Especially with a PC for you.....that has to be frustrating.

ha ha ha! ya right! so, was talking to the big boss last night about what i'm planning to do with the car. also told him about what we're supposed to have already done with the tahoe to get it all fixed up and pimped out. i want to be able to take it and my car to the car show scene so I can set up a booth.

Yeah sometimes that happens....especially with things that are not that common in cars such as computers.

ok, so i tested out my theory today with the DVD player in the glove box and VGA monitor. put the car in acc mode then turned the key. both stayed on no problem! so why won't the computer??? i think maybe the power pack adapter doesn't have enough oomph. it's only a 70watt and i've been using a 115 watt power pack when it's plugged in. i wonder if i change that out, it may work! (i hope!)

Well the DVD player and VGA monitor draw a lot less power then the computer will. So what is happening is the computer is on the edge with the power consumption, and if there is any waver in it, such as when you turn the key to start the car, it shuts off because of a loss of power. Changing the power pack adapter might work....but I am not sure. But it never hurts to try!

yes. but if i were to change out the battery to a yellow top, is the yellow top that much more powerful that it may cure this?

Wont matter what battery you have under the hood, it will still do that.
The yellow top is made to handle more electronics in a car, so it is able to hold onto its charge longer when the car is not running. The red top is made for crank power when you are starting the car. So it does not matter which one you have in the car, when you are starting it, there will be a big draw.
