I got my winter tires put on this weekend They told me my summers are cupping pretty bad. Ducky. They only have about 12,000k on them. I guess the KDW's are bad for that if driven hard, from what I've read. Don't know much about what causes it though - they say worn struts or shocks, or an alignment that's out? But this is either a new problem (since the winter tires are ok), or it's just from driving style. Hopefully the latter. Oh well, I guess it's an excuse to buy new better tires next season ;D

I am guessing that it is more from driving style then from bad suspension etc... since your car is fairly new. I find that OEM tires are usually garbage anyways. I have about one more summer left on my summer tires (after using them for 2 summers now) so I am feeling pretty good about that.

did they check your alignment??
i've been running my stockers so far (except the few months of winter last year). I'll be keeping them again for next season, but doing the rotation since they are very worn from autocross.

No alignment check, it was just a tire place. I'll probably get it checked at my next oil change just to be sure. The tires it came with weren't bad ones - not the usual dealer cheapies www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=g-Force+T%2FA+KDW+2But a couple reviews did comment that they do tend to wear kind of fast. I find the traction not the greatest, so I'll probably try to get something different in the spring. p.s. - the url tag works like a piece of *#$ if it's too long to fit on one line in this goofy little edit window

BFG Gforce tires aren't bad. but like most higher performance tires, they'll wear faster than the avg all season since they are made to be soft (so they stick to the dry ground better). you've had those tires for how long now? a yr and half, right?? that's probably about right. mine will be dead after next season, turned almost to slicks now! LOL

I find that my stock Eagle RSA's are wearing out pretty fast.

My summer tires are just about done too. I'll get one more summer then I'm going to have to buy new ones.
