finished the project last month. unfortunately still working on the EM tuning now through PDX. hopefully i'll have it in tip top shape soon! We'll be ordering Phil's STI in April (should be unless something goes very wrong). Possibly looking to lease another car shortly after for my new business. then i can make my LGT my toy car and not worry as much about daily driver.

well, i had some issues with the car after I did the install. the car wasn't shifting correctly and the gears were starting to slip due to all the low end torque. i was complaining thinking that i had lost all my power but it was actually the way the gears shifted from the factory. Upon my coolant hose blowing off and the car not running, we got that fixed and found out about the shifting from my techs.
so i went on a research hunt to find out how to fix this or if i had to take the car back to stock. Found a great place in New Jersey called IPT Import Performance Transmissions that has worked on some of the other LGT auto's. the 5EAT tranny is pretty solid but has some weak points, the gearing being one of them. So, i tore the tranny apart, send him my valve bodies and solenoids and he "upgraded" them. not really sure what he does or did, but I got them back and reinstalled this Saturday. Car is running so much smoother, gears shift clean and precise, not that lag.
I stil have to get my data logging done to send down to PDX tuning so we can clean up my EM a little more. Then we plan to drive down to WA and OR end of May for my friend's wedding. While we are there, we'll stop over to Portland and have PDX dyno tune the car, make sure it's running right and the tune is solid.
On my list of things to do before we get there are adding a K&N Typhoon, Perrin y-pipe hose (just for looks really) and possibly doing a TGV Delete for better airflow.

Wow! Sounds like it was quite a project. Good to hear it's running smooth now. I remember seeing pics of the install on one of the other boards and it looked quite involved.

well, i am now looking to add TGV deletes from the STI (improved airflow) and a K&N Typhoon intake. we got PDX tuner coming up in May for a road tune and then i'll be on the way to PDX for dyno tuning.

got teh TGV's installed but no go on the Typhoon. however, a buddy had an SPT intake and we swapped outright. worked out well. just gotta get a heatshield for it, and have one on the way. still need to do the turbo inlet hose, but oh well, that will be next time. car runs better, smoother and no more boost leak due to Dale's impecable attention to detail. he went through all my hoses and replaced them with better ones. got a couple sound clips i posted on GVC. first one is heading to the store a quick 0-60 mph. you can hear the BOV go off right before i end the clip. second is driving from one light about 5 mph - 80 mph when i let off the gas. you can hear the BOV now and the turbo. it's a little long since i thought my turn was coming sooner than it actually was. oh well. well, an update:
got a 3" SS downpipe going into the car today or tomorrow (has to be custom fitted). got the road and dyno tune done in May and the car is running like a champ. replaced the heavy ASA rims with the STI BBS rims from an 04 STI, front brake kit to Brembo BBK and rotors and SS brake lines.
also, took off the rear wing and patched the holes and had the trunk repainted. i'll be picking up a rear lip spoiler next month i hope. i'm sure that spoiler was causing some drag issues! LOL.
best time at the track this year has been 13.19 @ 103 mph. not quite 12's but i think with the DP, it'll push me to where i need to be. going to the track on Weds night if weather permits.

well, the DP was a pita. it's still not quite right, but fits for now. we'll have to do some more work to make it perfect, but didn't have all the tools and materials nor the time last night. i ordered the new rear lip spoiler today as well.
