Well another "beef" to add to the list.
He screwed my boss over....BIG time. My boss wanted to buy sateliite radio. And I knew that Derdall had them. So I took my bosses brand new 4runner over there and had them install it. It worked. But my boss also wanted another bracket for his boat and the in-house system. Well Derdall said that they had to order it in. 3 months later....still not there. YEAH right. So I go back over....get a little pissed.....and bring the boss with me too. Derdall takes out the old system and puts in a new one that has all the attachments already.
Works....but for only a couple of weeks. Now it does not work again, AND my boss had over $1000 charged to his credit card by Derdall....for NO reason. Needless to say he is a little mad. I am not sure what my boss is doing but I feel horrible because I "recommended" this guy to my boss and now my boss is getting screwed over.
Needless to say....STAY AWAY FROM DERDALL. Very shady in my opinion.

More to add now:
He moved his shop. Never said a word to my boss or phoned him. My boss has been trying to phone him and of course he does not answer because he sees the number on the call display.
I honestly did not think that Ryan would do this. I am not impressed at all.

Yep he moved his shop, no notice, doesn't answer his phone. I took my car there a lot but I got tiresd of being promised to pick up my car at certain times and finding out nothing was done. As well the quality has gone downhill he used to soder points not its just electrical tape and such. I'm reinstalling my system bit by bit because everything he has done has something wrong with it. Got Visisons to install my new amp intop the seat and they did good so I'll be taking my car there from now on. I ripped all the Derdell stickers off too. The name of the shope is called Tunes4u now. He did some really good work before its a shame his customer service and quality has gone downhill.

And I agree. He is a smart guy and did some kick ass installs. But then he destroyed himself and the buisness. Obviously he did such a bad job that he had to change the name of the buisness. People are not stupid though...they will figure it out and still not go to him.
And also an update with my boss is that Ryan is being charged with fraud from Visa. And apparently this was not the only time that he had done this to someone.
It is a real shame to see someone with such a talent to go to waste like this.

Just wanted to add to this, I'm not sure if you were working there at the time Mike but if you know I referred Derdall to a friend of mine (Henry) with a silver RSX. Well, Ryan said he would do a lot for him, Henry wanted things other than just stereo. Well in the end, Ryan asked Henry to put a downpayment of $1500 for what he wanted. In the end, Ryan didn't deliver and refused to return my friend's cash. Henry took it to small claims court or called the labour board on him (one or the other, can't remember) and in the end still only got $1000 back.
If I see Ryan again, I will personally do something about it. Not only did it make me look bad for referring Ryan to my friend, it just pisses me off how in the end my friend couldn't get hif FULL refund.

Oh yes! I do remember that car. And I remember Ryan saying that the guy never payed any money up front for Ryan to order parts or something so Ryan never ordered it.
Another addition......I am not sure if anyone remember how I was saying at a point that Ryan and I were going to make a competition stereo in my car. (4) 12" subs, 3 amps, screens, the whole nine yards. Well that fell out pretty damn quick, but not until I had completely built the framing and started mounting stuff in the back hatch of my car. Not impressed to say the least.
He is nothing but a compulsive liar and he will not be getting a lot of buisness here in the city. And over on beyond.ca where he is a sponsor he is getting beaten up as well. I have made it a personal mission of mine to try and stop people from giving him buisness. I do not want to see him screwing anyone else over.
