i'd love to get some new rims, but..... rather spend the money on performance.

I hate buying tires. I just bought expensive winter tires this year....and then we barely got any snow!! Just my luck I'd like some better summer tires though. Maybe next year. I have to save up for a fence this summer...yippee

Oh yes.......fences are fun. What kind of tires did you get Carrie? I got Blizzaks in November....and they have barely seen any snow. UGH......almost was tempted to put the summers back on......but we all know that Alberta winters can change in an instant.

I got Toyo Observes. They seem pretty good, the few times I've actually driven them on snow and ice this year The Blizzaks were even more insanely priced than these ones, and the reviews I read rated them about the same.

They were $900, for my stock rims. Decided not to go with smaller tires and steelies.

So are you getting new rims and tires for the summer? Or are you just going to stick with the stock rims and switch over the tires?

I'm keeping the stock rims, and just switching the tires. The place I went to will do that for no charge, so I figured, why not.
The stock tire size is 205-50-17 - and it wasn't easy to find winter tires in that size.

Yeah......seems like an odd size. I believe the ones one my car are 225/50 Z 17......which seems a little more common.
