You can get the S/C with the Base model 'Trix. Definetely nice to start out with a 'Trix with some mods then just spend some more $$ for the S/C and you have one nice car!

i can only imagine how much they want to rape you on that though. i personally would save my money and get a subie! in fact, thinking of getting rid of the vibe gt here in the next year or 2 and go w/ the subie legacy gt. awd... 250 hp/250 ft-lbs torque! holy hell! ya, baby!!! and no more slipping and sliding all over the freaking roads in winter!

LOL You see.....AWD is good for traction.....yes....but on ice.......it does not matter what you are driving....you are still going to slide. It is funny that everytime it snows here for the first time.....without fail one of the first vehicles that you see in the ditch is some guy or lady with their big 4x4 truck or AWD car because they thought that they could go faster. HA. Then I go by in my MATRIX with the music up and just have to wave and laugh. I find that my car is one of the best winter cars that I have had. Of course with the Blizzaks it helps....but still.

well, here in the snow and ice, awd + studded tires = extremely good grip! and yes, the big 4x4 and suv's are always in the ditch. very seldom do i see any subies unless it doesn't run! lol. but see quite a few fwd small cars eating it too.

Well it all depends on the driver too. I have driven pretty well most everything in the winter and it makes no difference to me......just a matter of experience.

i suppose that's very true. and i doubt your winter weather is much different from ours here. still, i have driven in fwd, awd, and 4wd and can say there's quite a difference in awd/4wd traction and control than fwd. i think part of the problem w/ the vibe is that it's too lightweight and just gets tossed around on the roads, especially when that 80 mph wind comes ripping thru and the roads are ice. or trying to get up a slight incline...

I find that mine is pretty good. We had a good winter storm here not too long ago with strong winds and my car was fairing a lot better then others on the road. Maybe it is just the driver... j/k Hope.

Nice, that pretties up the matrix quite nicely, now if they only offered it on the XRS as well...........

Because the XRS already has a body kit on it. And the bigger rims. There are a couple of things that could be added......and you never know.....Toyota might do that.
